Marina Boat App is operated by Marina Smart System LLC ("Marina Smart System," "we," "us," "our"), a private company. This Privacy Policy is published and kept up to date by our CEO, Vuk Bilic, who is responsible for how the app is listed and described on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Marina Boat App, why we collect it, who we might share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to the app itself and to any website or service that links to it.
By using Marina Boat App, you're agreeing to the practices described here. If something in this policy doesn't sit right with you, please get in touch before you decide whether to keep using the app — we'd rather hear about it than lose your trust.
Information we collect
We try to keep this list as short as the app allows. Here's everything we may collect, grouped the same way Apple's and Google's privacy labels group it:

Depending on your reservation, we may also receive information from marina partners or other travel partners we work with — for example, to verify the email address you provided.
Any guests or crew members you add to a booking should know that you've shared their name with us for that purpose — please make sure they're aware.
How we use your information
- Run your booking — confirm reservations, prepare your berth, and share a crew list with the marina so you can skip the queue.
- Communicate with you — send trip essentials like marina details and local tips, and reply to support requests.
- Personalize your experience — show prices in your currency and content in your language.
- Improve the app — diagnose crashes, understand which features matter, and fix bugs.
- Marketing, only if you're okay with it — occasional blog posts, offers, or newsletters. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in the email, or by emailing contact@marinasmart.app.
- Keep things safe and lawful — prevent fraud, respond to legal requests, and protect our rights and yours.
Location information
Marina Boat App may ask for permission to access your device's location. We use this only to estimate your arrival time and help the marina prepare your berth — we don't use it to track you for any other purpose, and we don't share it with advertisers.
You're free to deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings. If you do, you can still use the app and make bookings — you'll just need to enter your expected arrival time manually instead.
Who we share it with
- Marinas & service partners — only the details they need to prepare for your arrival, like your crew list or estimated arrival time.
- Payment processors & financial institutions — to complete and verify your payment.
- Service providers working on our behalf — hosting, analytics, and customer support tools, all bound by contract to use your data only as we instruct.
- Authorities, when the law requires it — to prevent fraud, respond to a legal request, or protect the rights and safety of our users and our business.
- A future buyer, if our business ever changes hands — your data would transfer under the same protections described in this policy.
When you book through a partner's website, it's worth reading their privacy notice too, since they may handle your data under their own terms.
Cookies & similar technologies
The app and any related website use small bits of technology — cookies, device identifiers, and analytics tools — to remember your preferences, measure how the app is used, and catch crashes before they become bigger problems.
You can limit these through your device settings, for example by resetting your advertising identifier or restricting app tracking permissions. If you visit our website, you'll see a cookie banner where you can choose what you're comfortable with.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as you have an active account, and for as long as needed to provide our services, meet our legal and accounting obligations, or resolve any disputes. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

Your rights & choices
- Access or update your data — directly in your account settings, or by asking us.
- Delete your account and data — in the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing contact@marinasmart.app. We'll act on it within a reasonable time, unless we're required to keep something for legal reasons.
- Opt out of marketing — use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just tell us.
- Regional rights — depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as data portability or the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Wherever you're located, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Children's privacy
Marina Boat App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we learn that we've collected a child's data without appropriate parental consent, we'll delete it.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@marinasmart.app so we can look into it.
How we keep your data safe
We never print your personal data or store it offline — everything lives on our servers, and only a limited number of authorized people can access it as part of their work. We use industry-standard technical and physical safeguards to protect it.
No system is 100% secure, so we'd also ask you to do your part: use a strong, unique password, and contact us right away at contact@marinasmart.app if you ever suspect something's wrong with your account.
International users
Marina Smart System LLC is a private company incorporated under the laws of the State of Qatar. Depending on where you and our service providers are located, your personal data may be processed in different countries. Wherever it's processed, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.
Third-party links & partner services
Marina Boat App may link to marinas, partner booking sites, or other services we don't operate ourselves. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our app, so it's worth a quick read before sharing any information with them. We're not responsible for how those third parties handle your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally as our app, our services, or applicable laws change. Whenever we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for any change that meaningfully affects you, we'll let you know through the app or by email.
If you keep using Marina Boat App after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated policy. If you'd rather not, please stop using the app and let us know.
